DEATH OF MRS. R. FOURACRE. - The death occurred on Tuesday in last week, after a long and painful illness, of Mrs. R. FOURACRE, wife of Mr. Richard FOURACRE, of Lyde Hill Farm, Stower Provost. The funeral took place in the parish churchyard on Friday afternoon. There was a large gathering of relatives and friends to pay the last sad token of respect and sympathy with the bereaved family. The chief mourners were:- Mr. R. FOURACRE (widower), Mr. R. FOURACRE and Frank FOURACRE (sons), Mrs. AYLES, Mrs. TUPMAN, the Misses Kate and Rose FOURACRE (daughters), Mr. T. AYLES (son-in-law), Mrs. R. FOURACRE (daughter-in-law), Messrs. Stephen AYLES and Edward FOURACRE (grandsons), Mr. Stanley GIBBS, Mrs. JEFFORD, and Nurse PLANT. Amongst others who attended were Dr. R. W. MORGAN, Messrs. A. TACKER, W. HONEYFIELD, C. GODWIN, J. SWANTON, C. HOLLOWAY, T. IMBER, E. STRANGE, W. GIBBS, P. RIDOUT, E. J. FRANCIS, C. CHANT, G. ALLARD, T. ANDREWS, W. AISH, W. MEATYARD, E. LEAR, W. BROCKWYAY, G. SANSUM, J. PUCKETT, Mr. and Mrs. E. GIBBS, Mrs. BRINE, Mrs. DREW, and others. The church was well filled and the ceremony was taken by the Rector, the Rev. E. Capel CURE. The many beautiful floral tributes were from the widower, Mr. R. FOURACRE, Dick and Lily; Ted, Nell, and Tom; Dick and Lily's little ones and Nannie; the grandchildren at the Grange; Ada and Billie; Frank, Kate, and Rose; from all at Houndsmoor, Spencer's Wood; from Arborsfield, Reading; Mr. and Mrs. GIBBS; Stanley and Ada; Mrs. JEFFORD and Nurse PLANT; Mr. and Mrs. C. HOLLOWAY; Ethel LEAR; Mr. and Mrs. J. SWANTON; Mrs. CRESSWELL; from all friends at Lox Lane; and others. Mr. W. SLADE, Gillingham, was the undertaker, and the beautiful coffin was made by Mr. T. AYLES, of Stour Provost. The bearers were Messrs. E. BURDEN, R. COOMBS, F. MAIDMENT, and A. ABBOTT. Mr. R. FOURACRE and family wish to tender their heartfelt thanks for the many kind letters and expressions of sympathy they have received in their bereavement.
