DEATH OF MRS. BRADFORD.

FORMER MAYORESS OF YEOVIL.

We much regret to announce the death, after a short illness, of Mrs. BRADFORD, one of the oldest and best known residents in Yeovil, which took place on Tuesday morning at Penn House.

Mrs. BRADFORD, who was in her 79th year, was the youngest daughter of Mr. Henry MALE, of East Chinnock, and the widow of Mr. Jabez BRADFORD, J.P.

The deceased lady was Mayoress of Yeovil as far back as 1881 and 1882, and Councillor F. G. BRADFORD, her second son, was born in the latter year.

Mrs. BRADFORD served for several years on the Board of Guardians. In politics she was an ardent Liberal, and for a considerable time she was President of the Yeovil Women's Liberal Assiciation. <sic> She was a life-long adherent of the Wesleyan Church, and for many years conducted a Women's Bible Class in connection with the Vicarage-street Chapel.

Mrs. BRADFORD leaves four sons and three daughters, all of whom were with her at the time of her death, except her youngest son, Mr. Glynne BRADFORD, who is now on his way home from India.

The funeral will take place to-day (Friday) at 2.30 p.m. at Yeovil Cemetery, and before this, there will be a short service at the Vicarage-street Chapel at 2 o'clock.
