MARTOCK. - A marriage which attracted some attention – owing, in part, to the age of the bridegroom, who is said to be about 70 – was celebrated at the parish church, on Tuesday, by the Rev. E. A. SALMON. The bride was Mrs. HILL, of Muchelney, a widow lady; the fortunate bridegroom – who has now married for the third time – was Mr. Simeon INDER, butcher, of Martock. There was one bridesmaid – Mrs. S. INDER, daughter-in-law to the bridegroom; and Mr. J. GRINTER, of Langport, acted as best man. There was a number of spectators at church, and crowds awaited the exit of the wedding party, who, after the ceremony, went off for a drive in a close carriage drawn by a pair of greys. Let us hope that the sequel of the Hymeneal drama may prove as bright as the opening scene.
