WOMAN'S BODY IN CANAL
TRAGIC DISCOVERY MADE AT TAUNTON
The body of a young married woman, Mrs. Florence CHUDLEIGH, wife of a railwayman, of 16, Charter-road, Taunton, was discovered on Wednesday evening in the Taunton-Bridgwater Canal near Bathpool
Mrs. CHUDLEIGH, who was aged 33, and had two children of 3½ years and 15 months, left home presumably to do some shopping, and failed to return. Her hat and bag were found near the White House swingbridge by Edward STONE, a Bathpool G.W.R. employé, who took these articles to West Monkton police station. The canal was dragged and the body recovered.
An inquest will be held on Saturday.
