Mrs. W. MALE, formerly of Pilton
The death has occurred of Mrs. Winifred Gertie MALE, of 11 Lucas Close, West Town Lane, Bristol, at Ham Green Hospital, Pill, at the age of 86 years.
Mrs. MALE was born at Pilton, the only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Somers CONNOCK. She was educated at Yeovil High School and attended Southampton University where she trained as a school teacher. She was head mistress at West Pennard Methodist Day School and also taught at both North and South Petherton.
She married Mr. Frederick MALE, of Kingsbury Episcopi at Pilton Methodist Church in 1925.
After the death of her husband in 1981 she left Minehead to live with her son in Bristol.
She leaves a son and a daughter. Cremation took place at Haycombe Crematorium, Bath and her ashes were buried in the family grave at Pilton. The funeral arrangements were made by funeral directors A. R. W. Connock and Son, The Croft, Shepton Mallet.
