DUNSTER

PETTY SESSIONS, SATURDAY. - Before George F. LUTTRELL, Esq. (chairman), Thomas ABRAHAM, and Charles LETHBRIDGE, Esqrs. - The overseers and constables of the different parishes of the district were appointed for the ensuing year. - Thomas HOLE and Thomas DUNN, both labourers of Exton, were summoned by Mr. John HOOKINS, road surveyor for the district, for damaging certain parish boundary posts, in the parishes of Timberscombe and Dunster, on the 14th of March last. The defendants pleaded guilty, and said they had “a wee drop in their 'ee” too much, and pulled up the posts for a “lark.” They were fined 14s., including costs. - John COURT, summoned by Mr. John WHITEAR, gamekeeper to George F. LUTTRELL, Esq., for game trespass, at the parish of Dunster, on the 22nd February, was fined 10s., including costs. - (Mr. LUTTRELL left the court before this case was called on, and took no part in the decision). - Several other cases were settled out of court.
