G.W.R. GUARDS AT FUNERAL OF COLLEAGUE.
Mr. I. G. THREASHER, of Yatton, Buried in Bristol.
The funeral of Mr Isaac George THREASHER, a well-known G.W.R. Passenger guard, who died at the Bristol Royal Infirmary on July 18, at the age of 48, took place at St. Thomas's Church, Eastville, where the service was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. J. E. STALEY.
The deceased resided at Horsecastle, Yatton. The interment took place at Avon View Cemetery.
Ten fellow G.W.R. guards acted as bearers under Traffic Inspector E. ANDERSON, who followed from the church to Avon View Cemetery.
The principal mourners were Mrs. A. THREASHER (widow), Doris, Winifred, Edith, and Edna THREASHER (daughters), Wilfred THREASHER (son), Mr F. ROBIN (son-in-law), Mr Will THREASHER (brother), Mr and Mrs E. W. THREASHER (brother and sister-in-law), Miss Gladys THREASHER (sister), Mr R. THREASHER (brother), Mr Walter LOWE, Mrs S. SHIMMNGS, Mr William LOWE, Mr William HUNT, Mr G. HILL, Miss E. HILL, Mrs H. LOWE, Mr T. J. ROBIN, Mr E. ANDERSON (represented the G.W.R.), Mr W. SHORD, and Mr and Mrs A. PRICE (Yatton).
Among the floral tributes were wreaths from the G.W.R. staffs Yatton and Bristol, and neighbours of Horsecastle, Yatton.
