My Grandfather George Robert LAWSON married Jessie BOYCE in Ottawa in 1915. He had come to Canada about 1900 from Dundee Sco. His parents were Thomas C. LAWSON and Leticia FREOME(?).I have searched the Scottish indexes myself for births of his brothers and sister, marriage of his parents,and death of his father (who is said to have died in Sco.) with zero success.We tried the Register in Edinburgh, for a marriage record, with the same result. His mother died in Toronto in the 50's or 60's and we don't know much about her either.
