Published by Joseph Wilson. 1834 Containing the Old and New Testaments: Together with The Apocrypha: And with The Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised With Canne’s Marginal Notes and References. To which are added An Index; An Alphabetical Table Of all the names in the old and new Testaments, with their significations; Tables of Scripture weights, measures, and coins, &c. Plates of finely detailed drawings are throughout, no credentials given. Cover is blind embossed leatherette covered boards: flowers, leaves and geometric designs Embossed in gold on spine: Holy Bible Henry B. Cooper Marbled design on end papers. Front end paper is detached. Binding is intact. Binding corners and edges are worn with usage Pages have discoloration of aging. Page edges in excellent condition. Size: 11 ¼” x 9” x 3 ¼” Front flypaper is inscribed: To the Memory of Peter Leavens who died at Hallowell, 11th of 6th month 1863 aged 54 years 3 months and 7 days To the Memory of Delinda Leavens who died at Hallowell 19th or 10th mo 1846 aged 57 years 4 month[sic] and 15 days Peter and Delinda Leavens Lived to gether[sic] 33 years ------------------------- Henry and Elizabeth Cooper Lived to gether[sic] 26 years Rear Flypaper is inscribed: Joseph Leavens died aged 90 years Phebe his wife died aged 85 years They lived to gether[sic] [unreadable two digit] years What peaceful hours of once enjoyed How sweet there [sic] memory still But they have left an aching void The world can never fill.
