A SCOTT Family ~

Welcome! John H. SCOTT He was born 1837, Bridgewater, Oneida County, NY to Dr. Horace M. SCOTT and Betsy. He married Alice who was born about 1854 in Indiana to German Immigrants. Together they had one child that I know of, Edward SCOTT, born about 1876 in Illinois. The family lived in Beloit, Rock Co., WI. Nothing is known about what happened to Alice or their son Edward after 1880 census, they may have passed away. John's second marriage was to Myrta M. STARKS they were married October 01, 1889. They had two children that I know of. John N. SCOTT born about 1892, Illinois and Harry H. SCOTT who was born about 1894 also in Illinois. For the most part John and Myrta lived in Beloit, Rock County, WI with the exception of 1900 census as they were living in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. John was a Blacksmith, Farmer and even was working on own account at one point. John H. SCOTT always rented his land. After 1920 census John dissappears and I cannot find him in death records. Would love to someday find his gravesite.
