When Bill arrived at our house in Savannah for this spring's get together on the Isle of Palms (Wild Dunes Resort) he brought with him four of Greg's old family photo albums. I had mentioned to Greg that I'd like to look through them and Bill's visit to Houston in May afforded a great opportunity to get them to me. It was a treat to browse these historic pages. And since I have a scanner I thought it would be of some benefit to put these pictures on the web. My objective is for the whole family to enjoy these. Surely few people outside this blood line will care. Hopefully all will within.
The first album covers the summer of 1969 through Lynn's 21st birthday in 1970. It only took 3 or 4 hours to scan, prepare for HTML and run the catalog program to write the html, and upload them to the web. It was time well spent. I hope you all enjoy. If others want some of their old Schneider family albums converted in this manner just send it or them down to me.
Growing up in Inkster Michigan (at 1387 Colonial Drive) meant living in a large family (7 brothers and sisters and assorted pets), living near a huge playground (across the street was one of Inkster's best parks with 3 baseball diamonds and plenty of woods, creeks, and hills) and schooling at St. Norbert's. There is a lot of summer sun and winter snow, lots of birthdays and Christmases, lots of baseball, bicycling, swimming and vacationing. This collection highlights a golden age of growing up in Inkster.
