The 1920 Census for Ward 6, 12th District of Detroit Michigan shows the family of Peter J. Schneider, age 52, his wife Clara, age 49, living with 3 children and Peter's widowed Father-In-Law, Patrick C. Hackett (Clara's father) who was 83 years old. Their children still at home are Clarence, Louis, and Marcus, ages 23, 21, and 18 years of age at the time of the census-taking. They live at 393 Virginia Park, Detroit, MI. Peter is listed as a toolmaker for an auto factory.

Note that the census taker misspelled the familly name, Schneider, as Schnieder
