This is the Matriarchal family tree of my father, Louis John Schneider, from the Detroit, Michigan area. It follows my grandmother's mother's side of the family. Her mother, Julia Gertrude Tischbein, married Joannis Sebastian Affeld. So far this branch reaches back to Joannes Albert Tischbein who was born in Germany on November 20, 1841. This is based on the work done by Robert Tischbein who resides and Utica, MI. I have used this information to delineate the two branches of my dad's family tree. Robert reports on dad's mother's side, Evelyn Affeld of the Tischbein branch in these pages. Richard L. Having edited the work of Robert under this cover I hope I have transcribed accurately. If there are any corrections, or additions, I welcome them. Much is missing, but what we do have makes fascinating reading. There are some wonderful stories that otherwise would have died an undeserved death. I hope this encourages others to either write to me with inclusions, or take this work and continue it.
