Company C, 17th Bn started training or. Monday, 8 May 72. Graduation
is scheduled for Thursday, 6 Jul 72. Your son will be given the maximum
time possible to visit relat4ves and friends after the graduation parade.
This time maybe limited due to administrative processing and/or early
shipment of some trainees to their next duty station. Your understanding
of this problem is sincerely appreciated.

Your son will not ordinarily be given a leave upon completion of Basic
Combat Training (BCT). Usually he will be granted a leave upon completion
of Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Should this be changed, your
son will be notified as soon as possible. As of the moment, we have
received no assignments for AIT, which varies from 4 to 10 weeks, Con-
sequently, it is not possible to provide you with the specific date on
which your son will compiete AIT.
