My father, John Dale Mulholland and his uncle Frederick Mulholland and his first cousin, Patricia Davis are all pictured in the 1943 Withrow yearbook. That is the only photo I have ever seen of my father at that age. Thank you so much.

It was interesting to find your kindergarten class picture. Sorry I can't ID anyone but I think Adam Andersen and Jeff Jenson were in your class. They were good friends of mine and our parents tried to keep us apart to keep us out of trouble. I am in an identical picture of the other AM kindergarten class (Mrs. Malaspina)from the same year. I can remember the day going to register for kindergarten because they gave away red firemen's helmets to the boys (I guess I thought it was cool). My mother (Ellenor McDonald) was PTA president for several years around that time and may remember some of the other kids, she has a great memory. I'll get back to you if she has any more information. I have many great memories of Raynor. We moved to another part of Sunnyvale after the 2nd grade and I then went to Pippin for three years before moving to South Carolina. Do you know what became of Mr. Ruf. I was in his office alot, but not by choice.

What a pleasant supprise to find my high school yearbook on the internet. I was doing a little geneaology on the internet and typed in a Palsgrove search for the state of Arkansas. Even though I still have my yearbook, I havn't looked at it for a long time. It brought back old memories.

My name was Loyal Francis Streiff, Jr. after my Father, Loyal Francis Streiff. My father went to Santa Barbara High School. I saw his picture in the 1935 Santa Barbara High School Year Book that you put on this web site. I want to thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity to see that picture of my father. He disappeared when I was just a toddler. He had divorced my mother and remarried someone else. I was told that at a reunion that when my mother attended on her 40th reunion she was told that my father had died in the 1940's or somewhere around there. I wonder if the person who did that reunion could tell me how they came about that information. Also, if it is possible for you to send me a larger picture of my dad, I would really love that. I changed my name to match my step father's name, Rogers and took the middle name of Francis and just shortened it to Frank. But, Loyal Francis Streiff is my real father and I long to know what I can to learn more about him. Please e-mail me with any ideas @ [email protected].

I very much enjoyed the 1943 Withrow High School annual. I graduated from Withrow in 1942. My wife, Mary Lou McNeil appears in the 1943 Annual and so does my brother, Lee Howard. Can you open the pages, or tell me how I can open them, so that I might see the pictures of Mary Lou and Lee.

It was certainly a suprise to find the yearbook pages online. I was the Little Indian Princess that year. I had a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Dickof. The next school year they built Wm Penn Elem and I started 2nd grade there.

Hello to Kerry! I'm Kevin L. David. I haven't searched completely yet, but I am looking for other years of San Jose High School year books. My father graduated from SJ High in 1929 or 1930 I believe. I have his yearbook put away. I am doing a lot of genealogy research these days and am trying to find as much info as possible. I was born in San Jose, Sept 23rd, 1950, and I am a 3rd generation bay area native on three sides of my family. Fathers father, Born: May 3rd,1865 San Francisco, Ca. Fathers mother Born: June 19th, 1886 Vallejo, Ca. Mothers mother born: April 2nd, 1894 Oakland, Ca. Father Edouard A. David born: I was told Los Gatos, (out of wedlock) Feb. 13th, 1911. Mother, Berta M. Tate/David born: March 13th, 1918, Alma, Ca. I'm still in search of my fathers original birth certificate. I'm glad to see at least some native's born in & around San Jose are starting to do more work like yours. I hope in time I can also add to this & other Genealogy & historical sites. I have a lot to be adding and of late have been uncovering facts about my families history here worthy of a book. I can't believe that in this area with its great beginings, age, and historical background, plus the best technology in the world, can have one of the worst Genealogy & historical data basis I've come acrossed for a major city in the state. I am glad to see it is improving lately, I haven't looked here in a few years because of the lack of info. Keep up the great work if you can. I know that it takes along time & a lot of work to get these types of things accomplished. I just wanted to let you know that there are those of us out here that apperciate your efforts. Thanks!
