east side of the museum

A view of the east side of the museum. In the front of the picture is one of the first powered lawn mowers. It was powered by a Maytag engine.The green engine on the left is a 2 hp Fullerton Johnson gas engine, Next, with a red water hopper and blue flywheel is a 1 1/2 horsepower Fullerton-Johnson. The gold colored engine is a 2 hp Rock Island engine. Tader is leaning on a 6 hp Fairbanks Morse engine. On the wall is collection of old time tools. The cupboard contains a variety of toy tractors that are pre-1938.

gas engines
Several gas engines used around the farm before tractors came into general use. They were used for pumping water, grinding corn and many other tasks.
