"Augustine Craver, a well known and highly respected citizen and Republican of Susquehanna township, died at his home on Thursday night aged 68 years. His death was caused by typoid fever and Bright's disease and terminated an illness of 3 weeks duration. The deceased is survived by the following children: John of Chicago, Clark of Susquehannah Township, Manda, Mrs. David Westover, of Barnesboro, Cecelia, Mrs Sam McCreary of Derry, Frances of Pittsburgh, and Clara and Catharine at home. Also by his wife. Four members of the family have preceded Mr. Craver to the grave. The funeral occurred on Sunday afternoon, interment being made East Ridge cemetery." (Mr Craver was married to Lucinda Jane LLoyd).

Craver, proprietor of the Blair House, in this place, for the past ten years, took suddenly ill on Monday of last week and continued growing worse until on Friday morning at 8 o'clock he breathed his last. Mr. Craver was a native of Susquehanna township and for a number of years was an active and enterprising citizen of the north of this county.
About sixteen years ago Mr. Craver went into the hotel business at Cherrytree, Indiana county, removing from there to the south of this county, where he kept a hotel at Whisky
Springs, near Johnstown, and from there he came to Ebensburg, buying the Blair House from Colonel John S. Miller.
Mr. Craver was in the fifty-third year of his age and is survived by his wife and six children. 1Obituary of Mina Seymore, 17 Feb 1897. "Feb. 17, 1897-MRS, MINA SEYMOUR was born in Carroll township on the 17th of March, 1848. The cause of her death was consumption and though she was ailing since May last, she bore her sickness with patience and fortitude. She as a kind and loving mother and will be sadly missed by her family and a large circle of friends. She was a daughter of Augustine Hott of Carroll township who though 84 years of age survives her. She was married at Carrolltown on the 22nd day of May, 1866 to George Seymour. to this union 11 children were born, 9 of whome survive her-they are Harriet, wife of Frank Watt of Allegheny township; Maggie, wife of Frank Rice of Chest Springs; Thomas, William, Alice, Burtis, Leonard, Blanche and Edgar who are at home. She is also survived by her husband, an aged father and her brothers, James and Augustine Hott, Jr. of Carroll township and Thomas of Altoona: 5 sisters, Mrs. John Cole of Altoona; Mrs. L. A. Craver of Ebensburg; Mrs. Frank Vaught of Altoona: Mrs. Nicholas Wyland of Spangler, and Mrs. A. V. Buck, of Conemaugh.
The funeral services were held at the Catholic church, of which she was a life long member, at Loretto, after which her remains were interred in the cemetery at that place." Posted by Lois H.
