Catherine Jane Scroggins of Rossville, Ga. died today at her residence. She was 82.
Survivors are two sons, Tommy and John Scroggins, both of Rossville; three daughters, Leola Corley and Martha Ladd of Rossville and Patricia Sutherland of Hixson; one sister, Liz Songer, Pikeville, Tenn; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Williamson officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park with Harold Ladd, Johnny Scroggins Jr., Ricky Moore, Billy Sutherland, John Scroggins, Tommy Scroggins Jr., Jerry Scroggins, and Ronnie Mize serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after noon today at the funeral home.

John Scroggins

John Scroggins, 70, of 1503 E. 19th St., died Thursday evening at his home.
His survivors are his wife Mrs. Catherine Dye Scroggins; three daughters, Mrs. Flossie Corlay, Miss Patricia Scroggins and Miss Martha Scroggins all of Chattanooga; three sons, Jerry, Tommy and Johnny Scroggins, all of Chattanooga; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral plans will be announced by J. Avery Bryans. Body will at the residence after 5 o’clock this afternoon.
