    A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1996, in Stehn's Milwaukie Funeral Home for Effie May Henley, who died May 10 at age 93.

    Mrs. Henley was born July 31, 1902, in Mena, Ark. She lived in Eagle Creek for more than 40 years. She married Ira in 1919; he died in 1954. She and her husband Ira, who died in 1954, owned and operated grocery stores in Twin Rocks and Sherwood in the 1940s and 1950s.

    Survivors include her sons, Carnie of Manzanita, Don of Eagle Creek, Marvin of Portland and Jack and Jim, both of Milwaukie; daughters, Carmen Pugh of Lincoln City, Betty Elliott of Willamina and Charlotte Clemmer of Sheridan; brothers, Ray Scroggins of Arkansas, Buster Scroggins of Newberg and Rex Scroggins of Anchorage, Alaska; sister Martha McKim of Pueblo, Colo; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

    Private burial will be in Willamette Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Providence Hospital.
