Lavina "Lee" Thompson Weathers, age 84, passed away after an extended illness at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL
Lavina was born on April 19, 1932 in Robeson County, NC, the daughter of James Thompson and Pearlie Mae Brewington Bell. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Vashti Hyde and Frances Locklear; and her brother Jimmy Thompson; and by her son, Timothy Ray Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Phillips Scroggins (Steve) of Ashburn, Virginia; two grandchildren, Ryan Rosenberry (Amy) and Sherri Ivey (Philip); and two great grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Burch, of Jacksonville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation with Lee's family will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm at the Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home , 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
