Scroggin who being by me duly sworn deposed and says that he is a resident of Conway County state aforesaid and his post office address is at Lewisburgh in said county. That he is now (53) fifty three years of age. That he was present and saw Mrs. Julia Scroggin subscribe and make oath to the annexed and foregoing affidavit that the said applicant Julia is his own mother. That Humphrey Scroggin deceased who was a soldier in the Georgia Volunteer in the War of 1812 was his own Father. That he has Known Julia the applicant all his life, that is to say from his earliest recollection. That he knew his Father the said Humphrey Scroggin from the said affiants earliest recollection up to the date of the death of the said Humphrey Scroggin, lived with them until he grew up to manhood and have resided in the same neighborhood with them eversince and up to the death of the said Humphrey. . .
