I just saw your posting and we are from the same family. You don't say which
Scoggins you come from though. My grandfather is the Gilbert Scoggins you have
listed. He was the baby of the family, b. 1 July 1890 in Coal Hill, Ark and d. 13
Feb 1973 in Eugene, Oregon. According to the death certificate for William Riley
Scoggins, he died in Stigler, OK. It says he was a widower at the time. My mother
remembers her father, Gilbert, saying he was 21 when his mother died. As of yet, I
have not found her death certificate. Do you have any ideas?
I have more information about the family and gathering more all the time.
