    Deceased Name: ELIZABETH ANN "BETTY" SCROGIN
    ELIZABETH ANN "BETTY" SCROGIN, 78, a retired educator, died Nov. 17, 1995, at a local hospital. Private services are planned. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., is handling arrangements. Mrs. Scrogin was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Wichita, Kan., to Leland and Mary Nina (Owens) Scrogin. She is survived by three sissters, Jeanne K. Kridler of Denver, Mary Helen Wade of Duncan, Okla., and Gloria S. Royer of Greeley. Her brothers, L. Chandler and Rodman O., are deceased. Ms. Scrogin graduated from the Oklahoma College of Women and received a graduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado. She served in the Womens Army Corps during World War II. She had been an area resident since 1951 and had also lived in Denver and Tulsa, Okla. She was a cellist in the Denver and Colorado Springs symphonies.
