   Looking for information on John MINTER who m. Harriet SCROGGIN or SCROGGAN in Shelby Co., KY ON 9 Oct 1817. They later moved to Clay Co., MO. They had at least 3 ch: Francis, b. abt 1830, Thomas, and Georganne. John was on the 1880 census with age shown as 92. He was living with his son, Francis, his wife, Sarah, and children: James, William, Francis M., Katie (Catherine), and Jacob
   
   John Minter was apparently the brother of my g-g grandfather, Richard T. MINTER. The two were in the brick business in Shelbyville, KY in 1820. Richard moved on to IN and stayed in bricks. John became a farmer in MO. I would like to know who their parents were. They were allegedly from Essex Co., VA before moving to KY.
