  John W. Fisher, 82, of Salem (MARION CO.)died Tuesday of kidney cancer.
  
  He was born in Eldred, Ill., and served in the Army during World War II.
  He retired as power production specialist with the federal government.
  He was a drawbridge operator and wagon master and enjoyed traveling. He
  was a member of Clearlake United Methodist Church.
  
  Survivors include his wife, Betty; sons, Robert and William, both of Reno,
  Nev; daughter, Nancy Rogers of Grofton, Ill; four stepchildren; sisters,
  Bessie Hendricks and Clara Scoggins, both of Carrollton, Ill; eight grandchildren;
  and six great-grandchildren.
  
  Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Keizer Funeral Chapel. Interment will
  be private. Contributions: Willamette Valley Hospice.
