    GROVE, Okla. — Grove, Okla. - David Nuel Scroggins, age 64, of Grove, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at his home.

    David was born July 23, 1948, in Joplin, Mo. to Nuel J. 27836] and Bonita [29631] Scroggins. He grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin High School in 1966. He was married to Margie Gray [28210] and had four children, Scott, Shelly, Staci, and Casey.

    David worked for Tamko, Foremost Dairies, and Quaker State Oil Co. When he retired he moved to the Grove area to enjoy his love for the lake and fishing. He also loved music and played the guitar. He was involved in baseball, both playing on league teams and managing his sons teams. He was a former member of the Masonic lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Shrine.

    His sense of humor made us all happy to be around him. We will all miss him terribly and he will be missed by many friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Scott [26581].

    Survivors include his son, Casey [29634], Joplin; two daughters, Staci Bond [29635] and husband, Brian [tba], and Shelley Scroggins [29633], all of Joplin; two sisters, Nancy Rogers [29644] and husband, Lanny [29645], and Marcia Johnston [29646] and husband, Dennis [29647], all of Joplin; three grandchildren, Cody and Chelsea Jones, and Dylan Scroggins; and one great- granddaughter, Mya Grace; and several nieces he adored.

    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. James McNally, Minister will officiate.
