    MARY "MAGGIE" SCROGGINS
    1924 - 2004
    GROVE, Okla. - Mary Magdalene "Maggie" Scroggins, 79 year old Jay resident, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Integris Grove Hospital in Grove, Okla.
    Maggie was born October 26, 1924 in Garfield, Ark. to William A. Newman and Stella (Kenny) Newman. Maggie and her family moved to the Jay area shortly thereafter and she attended the Mose Ridge School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Jay since the early 1950's. Maggie was united in marriage to Clarence Dennis Scroggins in November of 1941. He preceded her in death in 1997.
    Her parents; a baby son Dennis Joe; granddaughter Michelle Sloan; great granddaughter Tamisha Cooper; one sister and four brothers also preceded her in death.
    Surviving family members include; three daughters, Lillian Hutchinson and husband Frank of Jay, Okla., Mary Cunningham of Jay, Okla., Jo Ellen Youence and husband Oscar of Warsaw, Mo.; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2004 at the Southside Christian Church in Jay. Minister Steve Stenzel will officiate. Interment will be in Duffield Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Southside Church of Christ Building Fund.
    Services are entrusted to the Turner Funeral Chapel of Jay, Okla.
