MARCELLA - Mary Edna Shirrell Scroggins, 96, of Marcella died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Batesville.
Born June 27, 1906, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Thomas and Dora Alice Scroggins. she was a homemaker and a member of Marcella Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, James Scroggins of Marcella and John Scroggins of Mountain View; two sisters, Atha Jones of Lowell and Jennen Shirrell of Muskegon, Mich.; five grandchildren, Shannon Scroggins, Sherry Waters, Jerry Scroggins, Lori Isbell and Leann Johnson; and nine great-grandchildren, J.J. Scroggins, Jordan Scroggins, Dacen Waters, Spenser Scroggins, Connor Scroggins, John T. Isbell, Evan Isbell, Keleanna Johnson and Kadyn Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, three brothers and a sister.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Jerry Scroggins officiating. Burial was in Marcella Cemetery with arrangements by Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View.
Pallbearers were Shannon Scroggins, J.J. Scroggins, Stotts Isbell, Kevin Johnson, Dacen Waters and Lonnie Jones.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
