• Obituary*: Of Margaret Merrill, 11 Jul 2002, Grant County News, Williamstown, Grant Co, KY, Margaret Merrill Willoughby, 84, of Covington, Kentucky, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Florence Park Care Center in Florence. She was born in Montgomery County, a daugher of the late Andy and Queenie Merrill. She was a member of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Willoughby. Survivors are two sons, Vernon Edward Willoughby of Crittenden and Alan Wayne Willoughby of Covington; three daughters, Shirley Scroggins and Beverly Jean Green, both of Dry Ridge, and Darlene Rich of Florence; two sisters, Irene Moore of Covington and Fannie Martin of Brooksville, Florida; four half- brothers, Andy Merrill Jr. of Florence, Gary Merrill and Billy Merrill, both of Dry Ridge, and Elmer Merrill of Crittenden; five half-sisters, Kathy Nickells and Carolyn Nickells, both of Dry Ridge, Joyce Denny and Evalene Davis, both of Williamstown, and Lucille Lee of Crittenden; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were July 10 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
