  Funeral services for LaRue S. Killingsworth, 79, of Athens, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Athens with the Rev. Lynn Parker officiating.
  
  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
  
  Mrs. Killingsworth died Dec. 15, 2002, in Athens.
  
  She was born August 26, 1923, in Dawson, to Jiles Perry Jr. and Una Mae Scroggins Shull.
  
  Mrs. Killingsworth was a resident of a resident of Athens since 1940. She was a retired secretary to the superintendent of schools for the Athens Independent School District. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Women's Group, the Methodist Bazaar, and the Literary Guild.
  
  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Durward C. Killingsworth; brother, Harold Shull; and sisters, LaMoine Young and LaVerne Coker.
  
  Survivors include her daughter, Katherine Ann "Kathy" Killingsworth of Athens; brother, J.P. Shull, Jr. of Bedford and numerous nephews and nieces.
  
  Pallbearers will be John Glover, Charles Curtis, C.A. Hawn Jr., Dr. John Morton, Randy Daniel, Robert Hoover, Jack Bateman and Stan Woodard.
  
  Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Stover, Dr. Ted Mettetal, Gene Williamson, Dr. Mike Murphy and all her nephews.
  
  Family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
  
  In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 911, Athens, Texas 75751.²
