• Obituary (Deceased Mother): Of Jack Philip Scroggins, 23 Jun 2003, The Record, Waterloo, ON, Canada, SCROGGINS, Jack Philip - As dawn broke on June 21, the first day of summer, just weeks before his 78th birthday, Jack Scroggins of Galt, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Caring husband of Joan for 52 years; loving father of Dianne and grandfather of Scott.Predeceased by parents, Philip and Rose and brother, Richard. Jack was an avid photographer who enjoyed capturing the beauty of the countryside. He was a member of the Durward Seniors Centre where he belonged to the woodworking group. Having retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force 422 Tomahawk Squadron in 1968, he remained an active and dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge from 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 23 (today) followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. conducted by Canon David Bowyer under the auspices of the Preston No. 126 Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.The family would like to thank Dr. Sims and the nursing staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, for their compassion and quality of care. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.1
