    Malcolm "Ward" Scroggin, 55, of Sheridan, WY, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 in Sheridan Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

    Ward was born July 11, 1950 in Bingham Canyon, UT to Shirl K. and Isabell (Rose) Scroggin. He grew up and attended schools in Bingham Canyon and Sandy, UT. Ward was the last crossing guard at Bingham Central School. He graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy in 1968. Ward then attended the University of Utah where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973, and received his Master's of Science degree in 1976.

    Ward started working for Kennecott Energy in 1974 while he was still in college, and was a Human Resource Manager, retiring from Kennecott after 31 years of service. He had a full and successful career in the Human Resource field. Ward moved to Sheridan, WY in 1998.

    Ward married Noreen St. Martin August 1, 1998 in Manila, Utah.

    Ward was an Eagle Scout, enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, trap shooting, and bike riding. He was kind and generous to everyone he met, and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

    Ward was preceded in death by his father.

    He is survived by his wife, Noreen, of Sheridan, WY; four sons, John St. Martin, of Denver, CO, Travis Scroggin, of Herriman, UT, Michael St. Martin, and wife, Amanda, of Craig, CO, and Daniel Scroggin, of West Jordan, UT; one daughter, Shannon St. Martin, of Sheridan, WY; his mother, Isabell Scroggin, of Sandy, UT; two brothers, Kevin Scroggin, and wife, Jean, of Midland, Michigan, and Ted Scroggin, and wife, Barb, of Evanston, WY; one grandson, Holden St. Martin; one grand daughter, Isabell St. Martin; a niece, Anissa; a nephew, Trey, as well as other loving nieces and nephews.

    Visitation for Ward will be from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. Thursday, November 10, 2005 at the Goff Mortuary in Midvale, Utah. A Celebration of Life for Ward will be 2:00 P. M. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel in Midvale. Graveside services will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, November 11, 2005 in the Craig Cemetery in Craig, CO. Local arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

    Noreen and family welcome friends to call or stop by the family home at 329 Barn Owl Court to visit and share memories of Ward anytime on Tuesday, November 8th.
