Edna Violet Scroggins of Bend died Saturday. She was 93.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home in Bend.
Mrs. Scroggins was born June 25, 1912, in Macon, Ga., to William and Martha (Turner) Barrett. She married Charles Scroggins on Sept. 19, 1964, in Sierra Madre, Calif. She moved to Bend in the 1970s.
Mrs. Scroggins was a minister of Christian education, traveling to various churches and Bible colleges. She was a member of an all women's chorus. She enjoyed reading and teaching about the Bible. She also enjoyed cooking, singing and playing the piano.
She is survived by a nephew, David Barrett of Hemet, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
