    SCROGGINS, JOHN "DAN" SR., 86, of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 at Nazareth Home. He was a retired district manager for Texas Gas Transmission Corporation, where he had 31 years of service, a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, St. Bartholomew Senior Citizens group, the Resurrection Choir and the Buechellites. He was also a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Irene M. Weyer Scroggins. He is survived by a son, John D. Scroggins Jr. (Wendy); daughters, Carol Krampe (Edward), Barbara Zoglmann (Pat), Jennifer Rosenbaum, Therese Haas and Mary Jo Absher (John); a sister, Doris Jean Straub; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2042 Buechel Bank Road, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Monday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nazareth Home or Hospice of Louisville.

    LOUISVILLE - Irene Mary Scroggins, 86, of Louisville passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at her home. She was born in Ferdinand, Ind., and was a retired dental assistant for more than 32 years for Dr. Arthur Welsh. Irene was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, the church's ladies guild and senior citizens and a member of the Buechellites. She is survived by her loving husband, Dan Scroggins Sr.; a son, Johnny Scroggins Jr. (Wendy); five daughters, Carol Krampe (Edward), Barbara Zoglmann (Pat), Jennifer Rosenbaum, Therese Haas and Mary Jo Absher (John); nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2040 Buechel Bank Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and Tuesday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville. Memorial gifts may be directed to Mass of the Air of Hospice of Louisville.
