Woolwich-Elizabeth J. Scroggins age 70 died Thursday August 16th at her home.
She was born in Newton, MA July 31, 1937 the daughter of Oscar R. and Jean I. Craig Glazier. She was a 1955 graduate of Newton High School and received her BA degree in journalism from Boston University.
In 1965 she moved to Woolwich where she served as primary care giver for her mother and father while raising her son.
She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, reading and crossword puzzles.
Surviving is her son Scott Scroggins, his wife Heather and granddaughter Kathleen all of Lisbon Falls. She is also survived by several cousins.
A graveside service will be held Monday 11 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath with the Rev. Ronald McLaughlin officiating. There will be no visiting hours. Oscar R. Glazier, 93, of Middle Road died Dec. 21, 2000, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
He was born in South Boston, a son of Roland Gardner and Sadie Etta Pendleton Glazier, and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in South Boston.
Mr. Glazier was a machinist for the Army at its Watertown, Mass., arsenal. He retired as chief of manufacturing in 1965.
On Sept. 25, 1936, he married Jean Craig. After his retirement, Mr. Glazier and his wife moved to Woolwich.
He was a member of Day's Ferry Congregational Church.
Mr. Glazier enjoyed using his skills as a machinist at home, and built a go-cart for his grandson.
His wife, Jean C. Glazier, died April 25, 1985.
Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth Scroggins of Woolwich; and his grandson, Scott D. Scroggins of Lisbon Falls.
A graveside service will be in the spring in Oak Hill Cemetery, Bath. Arrangements are by Mayo, Curtis and Hill Funeral Home, Bath.
