LEONARD ERSKINE SCROGGINS, 67, of Memphis, retired employee of Sanford Marine, died of cancer Monday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Scroggins leaves a daughter, Pat McGhee of Bartlett; a son, Mark Scroggins of Memphis; two sisters, Inez Vanstory of Henning, Tenn., and Dorothy Vandergrift of Dallas; two brothers, A.G. Scroggins of Burlison, Tenn., and Chester Scroggins of Booneville, Miss., and two grandchildren.

Chester Edward Scroggins, 66, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Scott-del Cottage in Booneville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 21st, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glen Jones and Bro. David Krech officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church and a retired local home decor business owner.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and an avid boater.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sue Livingston Scroggins of Booneville; two sons, Chris Scroggins, and Wife, Julie, of Cullman, Ala., and Jason Scroggins, and Wife, Leigh Anne, of Booneville; two sisters, Dorothy Vandergrift, and Husband, Dan, of Richardson, Texas, and Inez Vanstory of Covington, Tenn.; one brother, A.G. Scroggs, and Wife, Jane, of Covington, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Tyler Pannell, Brayden Scroggins and Krislyn Brooke Scroggins, all of Cullman, Ala., and Cade and Caleigh Grace Scroggins of Booneville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius Elmer and Eva Marler Scroggins; and three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until service time Sunday.
