    Don Henry Scroggins, 67, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma, Arizona.

    He was born January 12, 1941 in Ada, Oklahoma, to Henry Herman [51110] and Eula Simpson Scroggins .

    He graduated from Davis High School and attended Weber State College.

    Don married Judy Roe on July 29, 1967 in Ogden, Utah.

    He was a veteran serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

    Don was a member of the Utah Airboat Association, Carpenters Union, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Ducks Unlimited.

    Don worked in construction for 40 years, as a finish carpenter and superintendent. He worked for M. Morrin and Son, Brown and Foutz Corp. and Kier Construction. Don was a master woodcraftsman in carpentry. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter.

    Don is survived by his wife Judy of 41 years of West Haven; children: Shellie Scroggins and Brandon Scroggins [50739] both of Salt Lake City; one grandchild, Isabella Marie Miller of California. Also surviving a sister, Charlotte (Joseph) Denton of Georgia.

    He was preceded in death by his parents.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services.

    Interment, South Morgan Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
