    Mary Ruth Scroggin [51685], 61 of Hanover, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2013 at University Of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on December 2, 1951 in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Jack and Ethel R. (Smith) Lewis. Mary was married on April 20, 1968 to Donald E. Scroggin [51684]. She was a former assistant manager of the old Druthers Restaurant in Hanover and continued as assistant manager when the restaurant was purchased by Dairy Queen. She also worked as a manager for the Goodwill Store in Madison, Indiana, was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hanover, Indiana and formerly attended Hanover Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Donald E. Scroggin; a son, Donald E. Scroggin, Jr. [51686] and his wife Natalie of Hanover, Indiana; a daughter, Melissa Ann Leon-Vega [51687] and her husband Juan of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; a sister, Sarah Tabella of Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren, Aaron, Brittany, Krista, Kyle, Kolin, Zoe, Nicholas, Brianna, Shawn, Troy, Savanah, Taylor, Sarah, Kiki, Alicia, Dakota and Faith and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth K. Reid [51688] on July 21, 2012 and a half sister, Josephine Wilson. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery near Little York, Indiana.     Mrs. Elizabeth Kay Scroggin "Liz" Reid, age 39, of Madison, Indiana was born on November 7, 1972 in Scott County, Indiana to Donald [51684] & Mary Loar [51685] Scroggin. She resided all of her life in Jefferson County and received her diploma from Jefferson High School. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and had attended the First Christian Church of Hanover. Liz was united in marriage on Sept. 14, 1993 in Madison to Curtis D. Reid. This union was blessed with a son and a daughter. She had been employed at the Madison Wal-Mart in the Deli and as a certified nursing assistant at the Hanover Health & Rehab Center. Liz loved animals and was an animal rights activist. She loved to write poetry and collected Tweety Bird memorabilia. Liz died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 3:40 p.m. at her home in Madison, Indiana.

Reid of Madison, Indiana; her son: Dakota Michael Reid of Madison, Indiana; her daughter: Faith Noel Reid of Madison, Indiana; her parents: Donald & Mary Loar Scroggin of Hanover, Indiana; her brother: Donnie Scroggin, Jr. & his wife, Natalie of Hanover, Indiana; her sister: Melissa Ann Leon & her husband, Juan of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; her mother in law: Virginia Reid of Deputy, Indiana; her sister in law: Tina Louise Bell of Deputy, Indiana; her brothers in law: Francis Darrell Reid & his wife, Robin of Milton, Kentucky, Charles Owen Reid of Madison, Indiana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack & Ethel Lewis and Orville & Louella May Scroggin; her aunts, Ellen Kennett, Lorraine Meyers & Betty Fox.

    FUNERAL CEREMONY

    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., by Pastor Mike Johnson at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery near Salem, Indiana.
