   The Rev. Cooper L. Thacker Sr., 79 of Lake Creek, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, in Paris.
   
   The family is having a memorial service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in the East Delta Baptist Church. The Rev. Jake Vaughn and the Rev. Billy Hackler will be officiating.
   
   The Rev. Thacker was born in Detroit, Texas, on Oct. 4, 1934, the son of Luther Everett Thacker and Ludie Vicey Marie McHam Thacker . He married Virginia Lou Davis [52610] on Dec. 10, 1956, and she preceded him in death on August 13, 2012. He was a Baptist minister and a builder/remodeler. He had lived in Lake Creek since 1974 and was a member of the East Delta Baptist Church. His parents also preceded him in death.
   
   Rev. Thacker is survived by a son, Everett Dean Cooper Thacker Jr. of Royse City; three daughters, Chirlyn Rae Scroggins [51557] of Garland, Brenda Lee Rush of Caddo Mills and Johnnie Marie Thacke [51781]r of Lake Creek; two brothers, B. W. Thacker of California and Everett Wayne Thacker of Missouri; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
   
   Delta Funeral Home was in charge of cremation arrangements.

   Virginia Lou Davis Thacker , 80, of Kensing, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012.
   
   Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at the Holly Creek Community Church in Holly Creek, Okla.
   
   Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Delta Funeral Home in Cooper.
   
   She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Thelma and Johnie Davis; and brothers, Kenneth, Leonard, Curtis and Donald.
   
   She is loved and missed by her husband of 56 years, Cooper Thacker Sr.; four children, Chirlyn Scroggins, Brenda Rush and husband, Joe, Johnnie Marie Thacker ; and Cooper Thacker Jr. and wife, Teresa; two sisters, Margaret Sisemore and Patsy Vestal, 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
