  Loy Dean Lawson, 65, of Brighton, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2003. He was born on June 10, 1937 in Halfway, Missouri to Willis and Ola (Scroggins) Lawson. He graduated in 1955 from Pleasant Hope High School. Loy was saved at an early age and lifetime member of Noble Hill Baptist Church. Loy was married to Brenda Terrill on August 10, 1957. He retired from Sweetheart Cup after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Brighton Saddle Club and enjoyed visiting with friends at Bolivar Senior Center since his retirement. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet; parents Willis and Ola Lawson; brother Alvie Lawson; and daughter-in-law, Gayla Lawson. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Lawson; son Roger Lawson of Springfield; son Mke Lawson and wife Teresa of Ozark; daughter Nancy Lawson of Pleasant Hope; daughter Karen and husband Paul Weihe of Springfield; three brothers, Herbert and Maxine Lawson of Belton, Kenneth and Freda Lawson of Windsor, and Dan and Sharon Lawson of Independence; a sister, Donna and husband Charles Dean of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Pitts Funeral Chapel in Bolivar to- day from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Noble Hill Baptist Church on Saturday at 2 p.m. Final resting placde will be Brighton Cemetery.²
