Vitals

  • Birth*: 20 Oct 1794, VA.2
  • Marriage*: 16 Nov 1827, Nancy Hendricks, Estill Co, KY, Ref #1610; [genbuff.ged]

Nathan and Nancy were both born in Kentucky. They were married there also and moved to Missouri a short time later. According to the 1850 census, Milton Witt was twenty six years old, maksing him born about 1824. Since we know that Nancy and Nathan were married in 1827 according to a D.A.R record, either there is an error in a record or Milton was Nathan's son by a previous marriage.
Nathan Witt died just a few months after obtaining title to his farm, leaving Nancy with nine children, ranging from an infant to age nineteen.
Nathan and Nancy, along with other family members, were buried on the family farm. A subsequent owner explained the cemetary has been bulldozed, so its location can no longer be ascertained.2
  • Death*: Aug 1843, Polk Co, MO, 37.616667,-93.400000.
