William Guy Scroggins is my great-grandfather. In 1954 an article was written about his trade of making chairs and other furniture - the article said he was 80 years old at the time so that puts in dob about 1874. He lived primarily in the Ozark Mountain area of Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. At the time of the article he lived near Spavinaw, Oklahoma. He went by "Guy" Scroggins - I'm not sure if his legal birth name was "William Guy Scroggins" or "Guy William Scroggins". I belive he died in Colorado in the late 60's. His wife, my great-grandmother name was Myrtle Dunbar and she died around 1981 in Arizonia. Both are buried in Oklahoma. My grandfather - their oldest living son was born in Missouri in 1907. William Scroggins father was James Scroggins and his mother was Rebeca Brixey (many variation on the spelling of Brixey - some say Bricksey etc. - she is 1/2 Cherokee Indian). James had brothers and sisters which I have some of their names. Does this "William" appear to be the same "William" you are refering too? Please advise.
