[4] This is were David D comes into play. We find David in the 1870
census of Coryell Co TX a few houses down from IH SCOGGIN son of Jesse. (Remember he was the son that Sarah went to TX with) Using the names and ages of wife and children we are able to prove him in Dallas Co TX in 1860 and finally found him (using children and wife again for proof) in Morgan Co MO in 1850 and sure enough he was there in 1840. Well guess who his next-door neighbor was. I mean right on the next page. yep.. James W SCOGGIN.^1,2
