    John Manning

    John J. Manning, 73, of Bourbonnais, died Saturday (May 22, 1999) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home, Bourbonnais.
    Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Monday until the 7 p.m. services at Senesac Bourbonnais Fu-neral Home. The Rev. Randy Van Fossan will officiate.
    Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wed-nesday, in Manning Cemetery, Walnut Ridge, Ark.
    Memorials may be made to Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home.
    He was born March 28, 1926 in Walnut Ridge, Ark., the son of Andrew and Rose Trecksler Manning, who are deceased.
    His wife, the former Lola J. Hutton, whom he married June 13, 1949 in Walnut Ridge, is a resident of Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home.
    Mr. Manning was former owner of the Broadway Beauty School, Web Tavern, Rock Tavern and owned and operated Shawn Oil Company in Southern Illinois.
    Also surviving are one son, Michael Manning of Bradley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Robert Wheeler of Bradley and Diane and Daniel Bisping of Peotone; two sisters, Mary Todd of Jonesboro, Ark. and Flossie Bailey of Huber Heights, Ohio; one brother and sister- in-law, Carl and Bea Manning of Dumas, Ark; six grandchildren, Brandon Gibbs of Kankakee, Randy Wheeler of Fairfield, Ryan Wheeler of Bradley, Mindy Balhan of New Lenox, Ann Bisping of Peotone and Brad Manning of Champaign; two great- grandchildren, Jacob and Kaylee Wheeler.
    Two brothers, Melvin and Raymond; and two sisters, Elsie Stokes and Barbara Jean Scroggins, are also deceased.
    He was of the Baptist faith and a longtime CUBS fan.2
