JEREMIAH SELF
Born about 1736 in VA. He served as a Sergeant in the French and Indian War, for which service he received a tract of 200 acres of land in Virginia. He sold this land and bought land in Lincoln County, KY but probably never moved there. He was in Louisa County, VA. until at least 1786. He m. (1) Hannah Lampkin; and (2) 1796 in Rockingham County, VA., Margaret Roach, widow.

WILLOUGHBY SELF
Born about 1751, probably in Orange County, NC. Willoughby was in Bute County in 1771. He owned land in Warren County, NC between 1772 and 1782. He served as both a juror and grand juror in Franklin County, NC in 1786. The 1790 census lists him in Wake County, NC. He m. May 12, 1806 in Orange County, NC., Hannah Blackwood.

PARRISH SELF
Born before 1756, probably in NC. Died about 1806 in Chatham County, NC. He m. Mary Martha Thompson, b. 1751 in Brunswick, VA., daughter of William and Hannah (Bell) Thompson.
