Ben writes..."I visited San Fran in June of this year when my son got married. Fort Point Light was built in 1855 by the US Army with a small fifth order Fresnel lens on top of Fort Point. The light was 'officially' deactivated when the Golden Gate Bridge was built over top of it (that's the Golden Gate towering over the light in the second picture.)"
