My FOLLIS ancestry is thought to be Scots-Irish whose families moved from Scotland in the 1600's to Ireland before coming to the United States in the 1700's or earlier. My Thomas FALLIS is first found in 1731 New Jersey. One Ancestry.com FALLIS posting mentions FALLIS' coming from "Fermanagh Ireland having moved there from Scotland during the Plantation Era about 1600's."

My ninth great-grandparents John CARY 1610-1681 England to Massachusetts and Elizabeth GODFREY 1620-1680 of Massachusetts.

My eighth great-grandparents Aaron FORMAN before 1637 - after 1698 England to Monmouth County, New Jersey and Dorothy of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York.

Aaron's parents Robert FORMAN 1605-1669 England to Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York and Johanna died before 1672 Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York.

My eighth great-grandparents Thomas THURSTON 1633-1704 England to Massachusetts and Sarah THAXTER 1635-1678 of Massachusetts.

Thomas' parents the immigrant John THURSTON 1600-1685 England to Massachusetts and Margaret about 1605-1662 of Massachusetts. John THURSTON arrived at Boston, Massachusetts on the ship Mary Anne of Yarmouth, England June 20, 1637. It sailed from Ipswich, England in May 1637 with William Goose as ships master. John THURSTON was from Wrentham, England, 30 years old with his 32 year old wife Margaret, sons Thomas and John, and a 23 year old spinster Lucy Poyett.

Sarah's parents were Thomas THAXTER 1594-1653 Plymouth County, Massachusetts and Elizabeth COFFIN 1599-1660 Norfolk, England to Norfolk County, Massachusetts.

Wales

The John VAUGHAN record indicates the immigrant VAUGHAN came from Wales. No further information has been discovered at this time.

My sixth great-grandparents Heinrich Hirt LANDIS 1716-1809 Alsace, France to Ringoes, Hunterdon County, New Jersey and Elizabeth NAAS about 1761-1753 Krefelt, Germany to Ringoes, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Heinrich LANDIS built a stone house in 1750 which still stands, is a Registered National Landmark where Lafayette recovered after the ordeal at Valley Forge during the Revolutionary War.

My seventh great-grandparents Elizabeth HIRT perhaps 1688-1783 Alsace to Germantown, (Pike or Columbia County) Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was a daughter of Jacob HIRT 1662-1727 Germany to Germantown, (Pike or Columbia County) Pennsylvania and Johan Heinrich Landis 1782-1826 Hirzel, Switzerland to Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Germany

My fourth great-grandparents John Henry HINSEY 1730-after 1794 left Hamburg, Germany arrived on the ship Leathley September 19, 1753 in Philadelphia to Wilmington, Delaware and Elizabeth POST of New Castle, Delaware. He served in the Revolutionary War in Delaware.

My sixth great-grandfather Caspar SCHNERR born in Germany 1732-1790 now Adams County, Pennsylvania. A Revolutionary War marker is next to his tombstone.

Alsace

Alsace became part of Prussia or what is known today as Germany after the 1870 Franco-Prussian War

My last ancestor family to the United States in 1881 my great-grandparents John SCHNEIDER 1843-1917 Alsace Loraine, Germany to Stark County, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana and Margaret Longenfeldt 1849-1925 Germany to Stark County, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.

John's parents Oliver SCHNEIDER died before 1880 in Germany and Marie FUHRMAN 1810-1897 Germany to Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.

Sebastian's father Hans George of Bohl, Germany and his father was Wilhelm who was Burgermeister or Mayor of Bohl, Germany before 1686.
