Will of William Lindsey

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN- I William Lindsey, of The County of Brunswick being of perfect sence of memory do make and ordain this my Last Will of Testament in names of following. Imprimice I five and bequeath my Son, James Lindsey my lands and of plantation on the land is whereon my said son James Lindsey, now giveth the said land lying in my old patent and part in my new patent and being----by estimation by Eighty Five Acres More and I give same to him and his heirs Item. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Copeland my bed of furniture, Item Give my daughter Elizabeth Lindsey, Daughter of Caleb Lindsey, My chest, Item I give my granddaughter Sarah Lindsey my small trunk. Item I give my Granddaughter Susanna Lindsey Daughter of James Lindsey, one cow. Item I giveth my grandadugher Elizabeth Lindsey Daughter of Isaac Lindsey all of my pewter, Item I will desire that my estate be appraised I make and ordain Constitute and appoint my son James Lindsey my whole of soul Executor of this my lst will and testament and utterly dis -annulling, Revoking all of the wills and testaments all other wills by me in testimony where of this will be me as made as Testimony . Thie wherein is my seal the Eleventh Day May 1760.

At a Court held for Brunswick County the 26th day of September 1760

This Will is in presence of Earnest James Lindsey therein named who made under oath There unto according to law and same being proved by the oaths of Mr. Brown, Nathaniel
Roberston and Thomas Holcomb., and there fore ordered into bond with Mr. Brown and Thomas Holcomb order be recorded on the motion of the said James Lindsey who ordered into bond with Mr. Brown and his Security's in the penalty of Five hundred pounds with condition to law certifies is granted for obtaining therefore into form the said Directing and Appraisment of said properties. This be directed as my last will and Testament
