John and Lucy's children Elizabeth and Sarah also appear in the 1851 Census. The IGI entries for the above daughters: From the IGI:
Also from the IGI (children of John Shakespeare and Lucy Timms):
It appears that Lucy's age in the 1881 Census is wrong, because the 1851 Census is in accord with the baptism on the IGI, and reveals that her husband, John Shakespeare, was born 1827 in Maxstoke, Warks. Also from the IGI:
The children of Charles and Elizabeth (all baptisms at Maxstoke):
John (1826-1887) was a descendant of Thomas Shakespear, of Keresley. Note: the name George is associated with the family in the Fillongley area, and Simon (NB Richard Simon) is associated with the Corley family, which may be indicative of a possible link, and there was a Charles Shakespeare bapt at Corley 30 May 1789, son of Simon and Catherine Shakespeare |
