Shannon Shakespeare

Olympic Swimmer

Shannon Shakespeare, born in Winnipeg in 1977, was a member of the Canadian swimming team which competed in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.

Her record shows that she was active in international competition from around 1996, and she was also a member of the team which competed in the Olympics of that year.

An article from the 'Michigan Daily' reveals that she was a student in Michigan in 1998.

Left to right- Shannon Shakespeare, and Julie Howard, cheer on Marianne Limpert( the final swimmer in the pool) while Andrea Moody recovers from swimming the third leg of the women's four by 100m relay.
